FROM SCREEN-PRINTING T-SHIRTS TO DESIGN

SERISÁN HAS KNOWN HOW TO ADAPT TECHNOLOGY AND PRODUCTS TO THE NEW CONSUMER ERA

Countless companies have the same experience. Many have changed their original products over the years to open markets in new areas to meet the demands of society. Nokia began by manufacturing paper in 1865, Colgate spent decades selling candles and starch until it became a toothpaste giant, and IBM changed its position from computer producer to today’s consultancy.
SERISAN’s case is similar, beginning its journey in the 70s as a screen printing company and managing to evolve towards a global activity that includes design, wood and metal carpentry, digital printing and lettering on all types of materials.

Over more than 4 decade, this design and labeling company in Cantabria has adapted to new products such as cardboard furniture, packaging for all kinds of items, or the modules and exhibitor stands manufactured for the leading brands in sectors such as food, furniture or fashion.

Company evolution

Serisan was founded in 1973 as a company dedicated to the creation of stickers, decal products, plastic labels, silk screen printing and smaller signage.
In the mid 80s, Serigraphy Santander (as its acronym indicated) incorporates new production machinery that facilitates the creation of logos and typefaces. Likewise, there is a growth in the production of signs, posters and billboards.
The decade of the 90s heralds a leap in the photographic quality of our work. New printers are acquired and work begins on digital printing using adhesive materials and canvases. The inks that were used so far, of low durability in exteriors, extend their life.
In 2005, direct digital printing onto fabric was incorporated, while projects of much larger size and higher quality were accepted.

Packaging design

The last significant leap in production and design took place in 2001, when the company added nuevas herramientas; a new direct digital printing line with UV printing technology to the process. In addition, two automated numerical control tables and new 1200 dot per inch quality photo printers also entered production.

New Projects

Currently the company is involved in several innovative, large-scale projects, among which the creation of Food Trucks from scratch stands out.

Among Serisan’s current production activity, signage, using different materials (including cardboard, canvas, vinyl, carpet …), cardboard furniture and the entire packaging line made for different products are worthy of mention. Also notable are the stands produced to order for exhibitors to market their items in stores and other establishments.

For the general public, the product that generates the most interest, acceptance and demand is the Giant Letters. Although there is a great demand from private individuals for weddings, they are also made for other events and congresses.
