How to Manufacture A Carton Stand

Where to begin …

Maybe the initial question is: why cardboard? The answer is loud and clear, cardboard is the new wood: a light, ecological, recyclable and resistant material. It allows for printing, punching, folding and machining to manufacture 3 dimensional figures.

The idea is generated in the technical office, where we give form to our client’s wishes. Understandably, it is not easy to persuade our client that this cardboard stand will resist one, two, three and as many trade fairs as required, provided that proper care is taken and the stand is stored properly for later use.
Once the project is conceived, work begins on the design of the different elements: chairs, tables, storage … and of course the walls that surround the space. The cardboard used does need to be the same, smaller elements require greater consistency, however the walls are machined at the back so that the honeycomb does not need to be so resistant.

Manufacturing and assembly

The next step is printing and personalization of all the elements. It is printed with UV inks for the optimization of plates, followed by cutting and die-cutting, and finally the assembly and construction of the various manufactured elements.

Once everything is manufactured, we progress to the pre-assembly of the cardboard stand to check that everything is in perfect condition, measurements, arrangement of the components, fittings, etc., in line with client instructions.

Once the installation is complete, the various pieces are packed for final installation at the event venue.
Lastly and, perhaps, most importantly, the cardboard stand can be installed by the client themselves, as they are taught how to do this during pre-assembly. It is a very simple method, and is great added value that Serisán provide this product, as no specialist knowledge is required, and in most cases the exhibitors can assemble the stand themselves, an important saving for the customer.

If you are looking for a stand which is different, a personalized design, and ecologically friendly … your material is cardboard. In addition, cardboard is compatible with many other materials: wood, methacrylate, metal, etc. … there are no limits to our creativity with this material, and it allows us to find solutions with simple production methods.
